We have had a request to identify the tree below (see pics). The query comes from Teresa, who says:

nope. don’t think so. the fruit looks too big and guava trees have a grey bark…
persimmon?
Quince, maybe? (Be helpful if we could see pics of the size of tree, characteristic leaf pattern, top and bottom of fruit itself)
