My West Coast Garden

As you can see from my photos we have a long thin plot right on the beach. The site gets both the south easter and the destructive north wester. I have tried to remain faithful to the indigenous flora although I do love a pretty exotic now and again. I particularly love my daylilies. To combat the salt I water regularly washing off the salt deposit. I planted a hedge of camphor (tarchonathus camphoratus) which is hardy and indigenous. It is struggling in some places but I believe we are winning .
