Aristida junciformis

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to propagate aristida junciformis or where I can get seed from?

Aristida junciformis

I have patches of overgrazed land I’d like to plant up to hold the soil.

Regards,

Rob

I don’t know where you are, but spekboom is amazing for greening over and reclaiming difficult land! Generates its own microclimate and the fallen leaves improve the soil quality.

I see spekboom featuring quite prominently within many threads of this blog. Do you people know something about it that I don’t? I think I might have to get some to find out.

We picked some seeds off a pavement in Midrand. They germinate readily when sown in spring / summer. I use a composted bark and coir seedling mix.
