Urban Farming Beginner’s Workshop: Sat 31 May

mathieu-xplainBCities may seem like the last place you could grown your own food, but with urban farming techniques you can grow produce on a balcony, in an alley, or even on the roof!

Join Curiosity Campus and our permaculture expert Tarryn Rice for an introduction to urban farming where we’ll give you everything you need to build your first container garden. You’ll learn about:

  • The history and basics of permaculture
  • The benefits of container gardening
  • Selecting a container
  • Soil and Mulch
  • Plant selection
  • Care: positioning, watering, feeding, harvesting, pruning
  • Gardening resources & communities to join

At the end of the class, everyone will plant their very own container garden (container, seedlings, soil and more are all included).

Price: R850 (includes container garden)
When: Saturday 31 May, 11am – 1.30pm
