Help the HACT Nursery

Hi there,

I am currently working at the Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust Nursery in Hillcrest on Old Main Road and wondered if you could please help us. The Nursery at HACT has a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, indigenous plants as well as the selling of compost, fencing etc. Also it is s a very well maintained and beautiful nursery in a lovely space.

The wonderful thing about this nursery however is that all profits received goes to building community gardens for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our Horticulture team go into and work with families to prepare the land, assist with the first planting and train and provide the family with the essential skills and materials to independently maintain their own garden, therefore growing vegetables to feed themselves and their families.

Due to HACT being an NGO, we have very little money for funding and wondered if you could please help us to promote this wonderful project on your blog,or if you had any other suggestions as to how we can get the word out on this amazing program?

Please feel free to check out our Facebook page for further information.

Thank-you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind Regards

Helen Bonello

I must say I often use this nursery for all sorts of plants. All my vegie seedlings and compost are from them, as well as lovely succulents.

They are competitively priced and the staff are always helpful and cheerful.

On the same property is the most amazing shop selling South African bead work and crafts which are exported around the world.

Well worth a visit!
