Hi
I was wondering if you would be able to help me identify what type of tree this is.
I have seen them before with a single stem/trunk but all four of ours are multi-stemmed. At this time of year (on the Highveld) they become heavily laden with blooms, and sometimes the boughs bend right down to the ground and occasionally break off.
I would also like to know if it is possible to grow more of these trees from cuttings, and if so how is it done.
Thank you.
John

it is a ‘pride of india’. it’s good that it has multi-stems, it’s flowering like crazy… great gap filler.
Does look like “Pride of India
I agree – Pride of India. Go to https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1568/ for more information. Propogation is relatively easy and usually successful. For information on how to grow cuttings, search the web under “how plant cuttings” and you’ll get plenty of websites to choose from.
