How do I bonsai a baobab?

I found a tiny thirty-odd year old Baobab in my Eastern Cape garden. It flowered and seeded and sadly I think it has died. However, the seed was viable and I now have a tray of baby baobabs. Seeing they grow poorly in this part of the country, I thought it would be best to bonsai them but I really don’t know where to go from here. The plantlets are in small bags. I only have plastic plant pots and bags in which to grow them. Would it work if I just kept them in small bags for a year or two?

I’ve heard that you’ll have to manually trim the roots (tubers) again and again.
