Mandela Day trees

On Monday 18th July, volunteers, University of KwaZulu-Natal students, Heifer International South Africa staff and community members will gather together to plant several hundred trees in celebration of Mandela Day and the brighter future farmers are creating for their families. Heifer is training local people and giving them chickens, vegetable seeds and fruit tree saplings so that they can grow their own food and sell any extra eggs and vegetables they produce.

Anyone interested in getting involved in this project or volunteering on Mandela Day can contact Magdalena on 031 7771374 or email.
