Aubergines

I have happy healthy aubergine plants in different places – they flower and then nothing further happens – no fruit.

What should I be doing? Or can I assume it’s the bugs/snails that attack in the night?

Help please!

Astrid

Hi Astrid,

It might not be the bugs at night. Apparently aubergines will often not bear fruit if night times temperatures are below around 15C…

You can try picking off some of the weaker looking flowers and let the larger, healthier looking ones as they will have a better chance of producing fruit…

Don’t water from overhead make sure they get at least 4 to 6 hours of full sun everyday. Good luck!
