I was given a clipping of this plant which I have now, thanks to some of the bloggers, managed to identify as a Stapelia. After wading through loads of Stapelia pictures, I came to the conclusion that it is a Stapelia Gigantea. However, upon further research, I found that the Gigantea blooms tend to be between 12 and 16 inches across. My largest bloom so far was only about 6 inches across. Can anybody tell me if this is indeed just a small Gigantea, or if it is an all together different variety? Any comments would be appreciated!

Could it be Stapelia clavicorona found around the Soutspanberg
*Could* be a Stapelia grandiflora.
*Could* it be a Gigantea producing a smaller flower, because it is a pot? I find when I liberate pot plants into the big wide world they often go bananas … not grow into bananas but you know what I mean 🙂
… that should be “in a pot” not “it is a pot”!
