Can someone please identify this fruit (see pic)? It is off a small shrub.
This would be one of the Capsicum Baccatum species (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capsicum_baccatum) which includes varieties like the Peppadew and also the Bishops Crown Pepper (https://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1024&bih=528&q=Bishops+Crown+Pepper&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=) (also called Christmas Bell Peppers) which is most likely what this one is.
i.e: Capsicum baccatum
What a delightful shape! Could this be Uba Tuba: (Capsicum baccatum), or “Christmas Bell”? Try this link:
I’ve got some of those growing. Got them from a friend who called them Bishops Crown. Got a little bit of a bite and a great flavour. Hope you enjoyed them.
