<p>Wear a blue or green T shirt, support the Global Warming initiative, reduce CO2 omissions on the 10th day of the 10th month 2010. If you arrive on your bicycle at this concert, you could be the lucky winner of tickets to the next Old Mutual Music at the Lake Goldfish Album launch concert on 7th November.</p>

<p><span id="more-2467"></span> John Manuel, a singer and songwriter who has honed his skills as a finger-picking guitarist over the last 10 years, will open the concert at 2:30pm. He builds his songs from the complex guitar riffs which are his trademark sound.</p>
<p>Early bird ticket price is only R80 but be warned that on concert day the ticket price goes to R100.  Children six to 12 years will pay R20. Gates will open at 12:30pm.</p>

The best place to be on Sunday 10th October will be enjoying a picnic under the palm trees around the lake listening to this great band which is climbing the ranks of successful bands on South Africa’s music scene.</p>
<p>Early bird ticket price is only R80 &#8211; please note that on concert day the ticket price increases to R100.  Children 6 years to 12 years pay R20. <p>Join us for another in the series of the popular Sunday Tour &amp; Tea guided walks that take place at the Gardens on the last Sunday of the Month at 9:30am. On the 25th April we explore the role of gardens and plant conservation.</p>
<p>On Saturday 22 May we invite all interested high school learners to join us for an innovative land art workshop run by members of the Durban and Coast Horticultural Society. Members of our local City Scouts will also be taking part.</p>

<p>Monthly themed guided walks at Africa’s oldest surviving botanic garden &#8211; Delving into the past at Durban Botanic Gardens</p>

<p>History awaits you around nearly every corner of the Durban Botanic Gardens&#8230;Join DBG guide Christine Sole on Sunday 28th March at 9:30am for a two and a half hour themed walkabout, highlighting aspects of Durban&#8217;s past which are featured in these magnificent Gardens. You’ll encounter some of the iconic trees that make Durban Botanic Gardens famous.</p>

There are many gardens within the Durban Botanic Gardens waiting to be discovered. The 2010 International Year of Biodiversity is an opportunity to discover just why plants are so important for life on our planet, and how they connect to our lives in intimate ways. Our experienced guides will unlock the stories behind the plants and places in the Gardens, stir your senses and invite you to look at plants in new and exciting ways.</p>
<p>All tours take place on the last Sunday of the month at 9:30am followed by tea at the Tea Garden, famous for its scones and crumpets!</p>
