I’n happy to say we, as a country, are really supportive of the event and, in an unusual show of national pride, are flying South African flags. Houses, cars, shops and restaurants are festooned with flags and, as the pics below show, even the trees are getting into the spirit.

In keeping with the spirit of 2010, I would like to draw attention to some amazing photographs, taken by Clint Strydom, of township soccer fields and players.  The series is titled ‘Real Heroes’ and you can read more about it and Clint at 10and5.com.
