COP17 Protest

COP17 Tree

As part of the COP17 events, a massive baobab tree (the emblem for the conference) has been constructed. Lights in the tree are powered by stationary cycles surrounding it – pretty cool huh?

Flowers of the Berg

We went hiking in the Berg over the weekend and spotted this cycad (in the wild!) and these lovely watsonias (or so we think).

Namibian Succulent Garden

On a recent trip to Namibia we spotted this beautiful succulent garden in the grounds of a church, in the town of Okahadje.  What a labour of love to create and maintain but so worth it!
