Indigenous Plant Fair in Durban

BotSoc celebrates 100 years of Plants and Biodiversity.

The annual BotSoc (Botanical Society) Indigenous Plant Fair takes place on 7 & 8 September 2013, from 9 am – 4 pm each day, at the Munies Sports Field, John Zikhali Road (Sydenham Road), Durban, just below the Durban Botanic Gardens.

This year we’re showcasing resilient plants. Tough, indigenous plants that will sustain your garden. It’s an opportunity to learn more about our amazing spectrum of plants for a variety of habitats. Your habitat included! Lots to see and hear: Displays of flora and fauna and conservation. Advice will be freely given from environmental experts. The 2013 Indigenous Gardening Handbook will be on sale for R25 at nurseries and other outlets, 2 weeks before and during the Fair. The content will include descriptions of plants on sale with features on soils, verges and special plants. The focus of the Fair this special year is on “Resilience from the ground up”.

Entrance is R5 per person; children under 12 free For more information contact us on 031 201 5111 or visit our website http://www.indigenousplantfair.org.za
