Hadeeda Suntan

I spotted this hadeeda sunning his wings next to the pool today. Anyone know why they do this?

No idea. Has anyone ever seen a baby hadeeda or even an egg?

I think pigeons also sunbathe like this. and if i am not mistaken, is to get rid of lice/fleas/nunus…

Some birds also use the sun on their wings to control their temperature. It is called spread wing thermoregulation. Here is a short article about it.
