Last Sunday, after my epic 15km run, Chips and I headed out to Dargle to investigate the Saint Verde Succulent Nursery. Open once a month, and located about an hour and a half from Durban, the nursery is a succulent-lovers paradise. Beautifully laid out under an old shed, the succulents are available in colour-coded ceramic pots or – if you want to buy your own pot from the one of the many potters in the area – plastic containers.
I’m a big fan of succulents and have been collecting for years but the nursery had a large number that I didn’t own or, indeed, hadn’t seen before. While worth the drive!

It really was worth the mission. Very groovy plants, in very groovy surroundings. I was even inspired to buy some, and that’s quite a stretch for a non-gardener.
Oh my! I must visit this place post-haste
Is it well sign posted?
