October happenings at the Durban Botanic Gardens

Old Mutual Music at the Lake Concert Series October month sees Wrestlerish making their debut at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert series in the Durban Botanic Gardens. The best place to be on Sunday 10th October will be enjoying a picnic under the palm trees around the lake listening to this great band which is climbing the ranks of successful bands on South Africa’s music scene.

Early bird ticket price is only R80 – please note that on concert day the ticket price increases to R100. Children 6 years to 12 years pay R20. Book online through www.ticketbreak.co.za. Tickets are also available at the Info Centre in the Durban Botanic Gardens at R80 until Saturday 9 October. Gates to the concert area open at 12:30pm.

The Food Garden Network and Durban Botanic Gardens invites you to October’s Food Garden Network capacity-building workshop:
Time: 2pm – 5pm
Venue: The Corner Café (Corner of Brand and Cromwell, Glenwood)
Cost: R25 per person

Learn how to cultivate an organic kitchen garden for a regular supply of fresh and nutritious leafy vegetables and herbs by learning about:

  • Container Gardening (Jabulani, Senzo & Praize from Durban Botanic Gardens)
  • Make your own juice (Thami from The Corner Café)
  • Closing the loop at the Corner Café (Judd from The Corner Café)
