Found this bedraggled fellow at the bottom of my garden in the Palmiet river screaming his head off with no mom in sight. Kept him warm overnight and delivered to CROW for a full rehab and release as an adult back into the Palmiet Reserve.

Awwwww! Thats so cute!
Glad to know that there is still wildlife in the Palmiet river…
agreed, this is super-cute! well done on the rescue …
no man, so adorable. I used to have two grey mongooses as pets, they were so loyal and even bathed with us. My stepdad was a zoologist. but they ran away to breed one day.
good work!
Our dogs alerted us to a baby water mongoose in our garden. We live in the Kouga mountain region in the Eastern cape.We have had her for 12 days and suspect she is now 4 to 5 weeks old. This morning we woke up to find her looking very under the weather and suspect tick bite fever so we consulted with the local vet at African Dawn in PE and followed her suggestion to give her the medicine to help her fight it. Pls help us by saying a little prayer for this amazing little creature to pull through.
